"SEE ME AS A BLACK MAN
PROUD AND FREE WHO STANDS TO BE
GREAT
WHO WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO HATE
FOR I AM THE MASTER OF MY FATE
AND I WILL DO WHAT IT TAKES
TO BREAK
THIS CYCLE OF SELF DESTRUCTION
SELF LOATHING AND SELF INFLICTED CONCUSSIONS..."

AVP-USA
Presents:

Peace Fellows Legacy Project 2022-2023

The Peace Fellows Legacy Project is a consensus based project, comprised of five AVP facilitators throughout the United States; it is facilitated by the Vice-President of AVP/USA.
The five person team, also known as the Peace Fellows Cohort, will meet from September 2022 to May 2023, every other Monday on zoom to brainstorm a project, reach consensus, video tape their AVP story and project introduction, and rehearse how they will present their project during the National Gathering in 2023.
If this brief description of the Peace Fellows Legacy Project stimulates curiosity in you, great! Let me tell you more!
You'll have the opportunity to not only build community by becoming acquainted with other facilitators outside of your local area, but also to practice and learn more about nonviolence, transforming powers, and conflict resolution.
Still curious and yet want to deepen your learning, growth, creativity and discover ways you can impact AVPers for generations to come? Click the link below, fill out the Peace Fellows application.
If you're one of the five people selected, you’ll be given a $1,000 stipend and all expenses will be paid for your trip to the next AVP-USA National Gathering (Memorial Day Weekend, 2023).

In March, 2016, they graduated 21 apprentice facilitators (see photo above).

On February 2, 2017, thirteen new apprentice facilitators joined the team (see photo below)!

AVP T4F PHOTO 2In January, the Federal Bureau of Prisons posted that they have recognized AVP as a Model Program!  Read the announcement here.  We are grateful for the work and the recognition your work has brought AVP!
